Internship at ROSTeu Brussels – Romanian Office for Science and Technology to EU (2017)

During the internships, in addition to a broad understanding of the institutional functioning of the European Union, the Commission, the Council and the European Parliament, and the Directorate for Research, the Horizon 2020 program and its calls for funding, I also gained insight into the potential of the link between built infrastructure and ecosystem services, in the context of significant biodiversity loss at the continental (and global) level and the Union\’s efforts towards zero-emission transition, achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and embracing circularity in the economy. Below is presented only a part of the events I participated in, the most relevant thematically or with impact on the doctoral study.
