Future on the past


The project proposes to transform the collection of photographs of buildings from the first half of the 20th century (Art Nouveau and Modernism in Europe), which was formed after more than 30 years of study trips, into a database, answering the hypothesis of research on how to respond to the hazards of earthquake, flood and fire taking place of the local culture of different European countries, for buildings from a time when architectural styles were already global.

The “Ion Mincu” University of Architecture and Urbanism, through the INNOVATION as Necessity, Opportunity and Registered Brand of University Research project (INNOMINCU), co-financed by CNFIS-FDI 2021, carries out activities aimed at stimulating performance in research, development and innovation activities, as well as improving the research skills of the main actors of the university environment: teaching staff, researchers, PhD students and students.
