ENROUTE: WORK YOUR RIDE

🚴 ENROUTE Project Summary: Work Your Ride

ENROUTE (WORK YOUR RIDE) is a project focused on developing a unique mobile-and-mobility-first software that allows public transport passengers to earn free rides by shopping on their mobility apps. The service is designed with an innovative, mobility-first user experience, addressing challenges like motion sickness and offering value-added services like “Click & Collect” around the destination.

💡 Main Results and Achievements

During the initial reporting period, ENROUTE demonstrated the viability of its disruptive technology and established a strong market presence in Germany.

  • Market Entry and Proof of Concept (POC): The company successfully set up its business in the German market.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): A POC with DB Regio (Deutsche Bahn Regio) exceeded all set KPIs.
  • Viability Confirmed: A feasibility study confirmed the viability of ENROUTE from a technical, practical, commercial, and financial point of view.
  • Recognition and Growth: The startup is award-winning, having won the DB mindbox and participated in Startup Autobahn and Plug and Play Silicon Valley.
  • Future Goal: The project aims to become an international company by 2025, connecting the mobility and e-commerce markets, which are valued at a combined worth of more than $2 Trillion.

🚀 Progress Beyond State-of-the-Art and Impact

ENROUTE goes beyond the current state of the art by being the only solution specifically focused on a revolutionary shopping experience during the commute.

The project provides significant socio-economic and societal benefits, aligning with the EU’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for sustainable cities:

  • Encouraging Sustainable Mobility: Reduced costs for rides in mass-transit and shared mobility platforms encourage city dwellers to leave their private cars at home, shifting them toward alternative services.
  • Combating Climate Change: A more appealing mass transit system contributes to the war against climate change by resulting in fewer cars and lower emissions.
  • Supporting Local Economy: The service strengthens local businesses by offering them a platform to reach greater audiences, promoting community development over reliance on e-commerce giants.
  • Reducing Pollutants: The “Click & Collect” option directs users to the nearest retailer, reducing the distance traveled and thus decreasing car pollutant emissions. Similarly, the delivery service consolidates trips, using only one car for retailer-to-customer delivery.
